In 2008, The Vineyard Church here in Kenner entered into a long-term partnership with Vineyard Boise and Vineyard Church of Columbus in an effort to come along side local Vineyard Churches in Zambia, Africa to see long term transformation and to see the Kingdom of God fully present within the life of this country. Whether its building deep water wells and biosand filters with Seeds of Hope International, training lay leaders at the local churches, or simply praying for the sick and the marginalized, we long to see the Kingdom of God break in and renew this little part of the world. This blog is a place where you can join us as we seek to accomplish this mission.

We are almost home!!

As I am typing this we are in the air somewhere between Atlanta and New Orleans. We are all eager to be back home with our friends and family. I know we will share lots of stories over the next week. I have to admit that I am bit sad though. As a team we shared a lot together. We laughed, sang, worked, played and cried together. I will miss hanging out with each person on this team and I could not have asked God for a better group of people with which to share this trip. Each one of them gave all of themselves to God for the last two weeks and blessed the people of Zambia.

To Sandra, Robb, Janet, Rich, Dave, Scott, Clint, and Ana I enjoyed every minute with you and will be forever grateful for the bond that we have together through this experience. My prayer is that you will never lose a passion for the people of Zambia and the memories of this trip will be forever fresh.

Blessings,

Shawn
