In 2008, The Vineyard Church here in Kenner entered into a long-term partnership with Vineyard Boise and Vineyard Church of Columbus in an effort to come along side local Vineyard Churches in Zambia, Africa to see long term transformation and to see the Kingdom of God fully present within the life of this country. Whether its building deep water wells and biosand filters with Seeds of Hope International, training lay leaders at the local churches, or simply praying for the sick and the marginalized, we long to see the Kingdom of God break in and renew this little part of the world. This blog is a place where you can join us as we seek to accomplish this mission.

Arrived in Jo'Burg

We arrived safely in South Africa around 5:00PM(10:00AM back home). It was a long flight but it was pretty uneventful. Well, except for Clint getting a piece of his ear buds stuck in his ear and the Flight Attendant having to fish it out with tweezers. He was given the nickname "Ear Bud" by our Flight Attendant and of course the rest of the team will not let him forget it.

We leave for Zambia at 9:45AM (2:45AM back home). We will have a slow day Sunday to prepare for our 8 hour bus ride to Kasempa.

We will post again soon!

  1. Hey guys, You are in my prayers. I wish I were with you. Can't wait to hear your stories. Funny "Ear Bud" story. Remember, don't eat the meat pies. God Bless You!
    See you soon, Julie
